presenting... OCT, the amazing hamster
deidra and i got a hamster yesterday. we were only going to petsmart to get some kitty litter and kitty food. but then we ended up getting a hamster.
his/her name is OCT. (short for octavius)
for the sake of my sanity, let's just call oct a he. (though he could definitely a she).
we got oct a funky new cage with a rotating spinning wheel. it's incredibly exciting. oct doesn't really like to be touched. he runs away a lot. but he really likes the fucking wheel. he actually transported some of his food from the food cup to the wheel. last night, i found durgha sitting on top of the table looking at oct spinning around in his wheel. it's precious.
we also got him this ball that he can roll around in. it's quite interesting. durgha and milton are nearly mesmerized by it and loves running along side it.
at this very moment, oct is either, 1. sleeping in his wheel, 2. eating in his wheel, or 3. spinning in his wheel in the darkness of the closet. we're afraid the kitties will decide to eat him, or at least bat his fragile little body around until it dies. (if they do it within 14 days, i can return it back to petsmart for another one. good deal, eh?)
one thing: hamsters sure poo a lot.
i've been listening to this norwegian singer, sondre lerche. i love the song, two way monologue (especially in the beginning of the video with the guy saying, "...at the ready, steady, GO! club") you can watch it here.
fuck, i've been at work for a while now and haven't even gotten any work done. you're a bad habit.
did i mention that i saw chandler bing two days ago?
